Sergio Leone’s C’era una volta il West (Once Upon A Time in the West) reforms the western genre by its unconventional staging and Ennio Morricone’s groundbreaking music. In Hollywood, it’s called “Spaghetti Western”. 

Just like some of his colleagues, Spielberg is inspired by Leone’s innovative style.
